Actors must prepare 16-32 measures of a Broadway show tune that shows off your skills/range and a 1 minute monologue.

Please be available for callbacks Friday and Saturday, February 2 & 3.  Requests will be emailed Wednesday, January 31, if call backs are desired.

LOCATION: Musical Arts Center, 2806 Avenue A, Lubbock.

MUSIC PREPARATION: Be prepared to sing 16-32 measures of a Broadway show tune.  You may be asked to sing the entire song.  Actors are highly advised to bring in a second contrasting song in case they are asked to sing another song.  Please provide sheet music for the provided piano accompanist in the intended key. No unaccompanied or prerecorded accompaniment allowed. No rehearsal time with the accompanist will be allotted prior to audition and it is recommended that the auditionee consider that when selecting audition material.

MONOLOGUE PREPARATION: Prepare an age-appropriate 1 minute monologue (does not have to be from the show). Avoid excessively stylized pieces, dialects, extreme physicality, and props. A chair will be provided if needed.

AUDITION RESULTS: Costume measurements may be involved in the audition process, but the auditionee should understand that measurement taking in no way indicates predicted audition results. A sheet will be provided for the auditionee to take with them that provides information such as when and how audition results will be posted.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Lubbock Moonlight Musicals is a family friendly company and children are encouraged to audition; however, it is recommended that they be elementary school age or higher due to the rigorous rehearsal requirements.
