Mariann Davidson: New to Lubbock, Mariann Davidson comes from a musical family. She began public performing at age 3 with family and as a soloist and has now been doing that for 38 years in most every genre and at most any event. She is a musical theater lover and has participated in lead and supporting roles in , “ Pirates of Penzance”, “Man of La Mancha”, “South Pacific”, “Annie Get Your Gun” “ It’s My Life”, Anything Goes” and debuted in her first Lubbock Moonlight Musical, “Carousel”.
She taught Elementary music to K-2nd grade in the schools for 5 years in Idaho. All of these amazing things have been a great foundation for Mariann as she has taught private voice for 16 years and enjoyed helping others pursue their passion for music. She also teaches piano lessons and loves playing the organ in her church congregation. She taught the 2016 Moonlight Musicals Summer camp music/voice section. She is happy to a part of this Academy and is excited to help children grow in their love of music!
Frank Rendon: Francisco Rendon, performer and educator graduated from Texas Tech University in 2011 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. Mr. Rendon has taught K-12 Music for over 6 years primarily in the Dallas and Lubbock areas. He taught private voice and group musical instruction in the Garland Independent School District at Garland, Naaman Forrest, and Sachse High Schools.
Upon moving to Lubbock, Francisco has worked with surrounding middle school and High Schools such as Lubbock HS and Hutchison Middle School. In 2012, Francisco music directed the off broadway musical Next to Normal with Hub Theatre Group. Mr. Rendon worked as the Music Director and Voice Instructor for HUB Performing Arts school for six years and has music directed many of the MTI Jr. Theatre line of musicals which include, Little Mermaid Jr., Dear Edwina, and Seussical Jr. In the summer of 2016, Francisco made his theatrical directing debut with Lubbock Moonlight Musicals in their summer production of Seussical the Musical!
Rachel Way: Rachel Way holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ouachita Baptist University in Musical Theatre and studied film/theatre at the University of Reading in England for a semester abroad in 2010. Since then she got to work at Disneyworld and Disneyland, and has been featured in some Lubbock radio/tv commercials.
Most recently she played Gertrude Mcfuzz in Seussical the Musical for Lubbock Moonlight Musicals. Her favorite roles include Eponine in Les Miserables, Winnie Tate in Annie Get Your Gun, and Anna from Frozen The Mini-Musical. She is currently the Creative Director at Trinity Church where she gets to creatively support the communication of the gospel through the original skits, video announcements, and stage design.
Maddie Bryan: Maddie Bryan is a freshman at Texas Tech University where she studies Musical Theatre. She has been in multiple shows with Lubbock Moonlight Musicals including Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid, Titanic: The Musical,and Seussical The Musical. She is currently playing Heather McNamera in Texas Tech’s musical Heathers.
Maddie has been dancing since she was three years old and has received numerous local, state, and national dance awards. She served as Miss Lubbock’s Outstanding Teen where she performed her award winning tap dance at the state level, the Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen Pageant, and finished in the Top 10. She hopes to finish her degree at Texas Tech University and take her skills to the Broadway stage, or wherever else she can do what she loves.
